You know what’s delicious? A&W breakfast. I know I’ve been hating on other fast food breakfasts lately (go to hell and DIE Wendy’s breakfast!) but A&W actually makes a mean breakfast sandwich. I have tried their Ham N Egger and I liked it enough to ignore the fact that they have an “N” in the middle of it as if this was an acceptable replacement for the word “and.” Anyway, the sandwich is really good. The egg, ham, and cheese are all well formatted to fit on the buns they use for the burgers. From a stability standpoint, this sandwich is the easiest to eat because besides sticking together well, it is also very UN-greasy, which is weird because I know it is still bad for you (ahem, 600 calories).

The only downside is that A&W restaurants aren’t nearly as easy to find as McDonald’s, so when I need a breakfast sandwich fast, I’ll probably go for my beloved Egg McMuffin, but if I want QUALITY, I’m going in search of A&W. Therefore my overall ranking of breakfast sandwiches is as follows:

1) A&W Ham N Egger
2) McDonald’s Egg McMuffin
3) Tim Horton’s BELT
4) Puke on bread
5) Anything on Wendy’s breakfast menu

“This McDonald’s sandwich is sold in parts of eastern Canada and Maine.”

Uh, what is McLobster? And the best part of this question was that NO ONE got it right! In your face Alex, you smug bastard.

I came across the following list during a recent RSS reading; it is the Top 10 Failed McDonald’s Products. Number six on the list is McLobster; which naturally got me thinking about my own McLobster experience.

The scene: The Gnome and That Guy I Know are waiting in line at McDonald’s drive-thru in North Sydney, Nova Scotia.

That Guy I Know: Uh, do you guys have a McLobster?

Drive-thru employee: *Sigh* Yes.

She didn’t even give us a total, but we had succeeded in a week long mission to find the fabled McLobster. Back in 2007 That Guy I Know and I travelled across eastern Canada. Guy spoke of the McLobster and at first I thought he was just messing with me. However, when we got to North Sydney, his moment of triumph had come. There was no McLobster advertised anywhere, but it seems that like whippets at the porn store, if you ask you shall receive. I didn’t actually taste it myself, but That Guy seemed to enjoy it and he suffered no stomach repercussions from his experience. So the next time you are in eastern Canada why not pick one of these bad boys up?

<img class="size-medium wp-image-488 aligncenter" title="Yeah, I used the exact same picture as the Listverse used.

There’s a feud brewing between Canada and the EU, because the EU wants to ban all Canadian seal products… mostly because seals are adorable. In an act of solidarity Canada’s Governor-General, Michaelle Jean, gutted a seal and then ate its raw heart during a traditional Inuit meal. While I’m sure many find this horrifying, I personally think it is awesome. For people who live in the middle of butt fuck nowhere Nunavut this is the only way to survive. They don’t exactly have a McDonald’s around the next ice flow to grab a Big Mac. Jean described the seal heart as tasting like sushi (she probably more specifically meant sashimi), which I really enjoy, so given the opportunity I would try seal heart. Of course, the picture displayed in the National Post story shows a cute little seal because I guess people would be horrified to see what an actual traditional Inuit meal looks like.

Even more amusing is the fact that the National Post is now running a “fuck you EU” campaign by documenting just how hypocritical the European continent is. So far they have written about how many Europeans have no problem with eating: the snail, the goose, the mouse, and the quail. BUT, while I applaud the National Post for pointing the finger at the EU (the middle finger, obviously), why is our own continent spared the same judgment? Take a look at the following picture…

Now you tell me if you’re going to continue eating bacon?
